20 DigitalHealth.London Accelerator and Launchpad companies have been included in the top 50 most innovative HealthTech and MedTech companies by BusinessCloud. The annual ranking seeks to highlight the UK’s most innovative companies across health and care.

The final ranking was decided by an independent judging panel and a public vote on the shortlist, which attracted around 1,600 votes.

HealthTech 50: Accurx, ImproveWell, Lifelight, Feebris, Birdie, Visionable, Dr Julian, Sweatcoin, Patchwork Health, Cera, MyWay, Feedback Medical and eConsult Health

“We’re thrilled to be included as one of the most innovative healthtech companies for 2022. This really is a testament of our team who continue to move us closer to our vision of a health system where everyone involved in a patient’s care can communicate to deliver better care. With the support and feedback from our users, we’ve achieved lots of milestones over the last year, from booking 30 million COVID-19 vaccines, to messaging almost 52 million patients across the UK and supporting trusts to reduce their waiting lists by 10%. It’s brilliant to see other DigitalHealth.London Accelerator alumni recognised and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received to develop our networks across the healthcare industry.” – Jacob Haddad, CEO and Co-Founder, Accurx

“To be ranked third in the UK’s most innovative health technology creators for 2022 is a monumental achievement for ImproveWell. Never has there been a more critical time for health and care organisations to engage with the frontline to improve staff experience and the quality of care; this ranking is testament to the significant impact our partner organisations have made as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is wonderful to see so many DigitalHealth.London alumni recognised in BusinessCloud’s HealthTech 50 ranking – the Accelerator provided strong foundations to develop our award-winning solution and we are grateful for the continued support from this expert network.” – Lara Mott, CEO and Co-founder, ImproveWell

“We’re delighted to feature at number eight in Business Cloud’s Health Tech 50, recognising Lifelight as one of the UK’s most innovative health tech creators. This couldn’t have been achieved without continued support, including key initiatives like DigitalHealth.London’s Accelerator, which acted as a launchpad for Lifelight into the larger healthcare ecosystem.” Laurence Peace, CEO and Founder, Lifelight

“We’re honoured to be selected in Business Cloud’s Top 50 HealthTech ranking. From the outset, Visionable’s aim has been to deliver reliable, fit for purpose technology that helps healthcare professionals perform their jobs and simultaneously improves patient outcomes. Visionable was the first made-to-measure solution designed specifically for healthcare, and is now a unique collaboration platform that supports everything from large scale MDT meetings to telemedicine networks and connected ambulances. DigitalHealth.London’s Accelerator programme has been an important part of our growth journey, allowing us to scale and meet the needs of today’s healthcare systems.” Alan Lowe, CEO, Visionable

“Dr Julian and the team are honoured to be included in the HealthTech 50 Rankings for 2022. As a business, our mission is to simply improve access to Mental Healthcare for all – particularly given the global lack of good quality supply to meet the ever-increasing demand. Our proprietary technology and platform offers easy access, flexibility, multiple therapy services, a self-help resource library and more – which has already benefited many thousands of patients and delivered better results than conventional treatment solutions.  We are continuing to scale fast, supporting both the NHS and Private Markets respectively – including international expansion.  We are very grateful to all the support we have received on our journey to date from the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme and team.” – Dr Julian Nesbitt, CEO, Dr Julian Medical Group Ltd

“We are proud to be listed in the top 50 HealthTech companies and owe some of this success to the Accelerator programme which helped us scale and build networks. We continue to nurture and develop these relationships to ensure we remain one of the UK’s most innovative, clinically led health tech companies.” – Dr Mark Harmon, Chief Strategy and Brand Officer, eConsult Health

MedTech 50: Panakeia, EXi, Mendelian, Oxford Heartbeat, Huma, Babylon Health and Concentric Health

“Our team are thrilled to have made the MedTech 50 list of the UK’s most innovative medical creators for 2022. As EXi, the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme helped us position our ‘Personalised exercise prescription’ platform and convert it into a viable start-up venture. EXI has benefited from the mentoring and access to knowledgeable industry experts throughout the programme.” Louise O’Mahony, Head of Healthcare Partnerships, EXi.

The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator is a collaborative programme funded by two of London’s Academic Health Science Networks – UCL Partners and the Health Innovation Network, MedCity, CW+ and receives match funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
