Six Accelerator companies and alumni join AWS UK Accelerator

Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced the selection of the 12 participants for the first ever AWS Healthcare Accelerator in the UK and half of the participants are DigitalHealth.London Accelerator companies or alumni.

These 12 companies were selected from 117 applications from 13 countries, including the UK, by a panel from AWS and PUBLIC. Announced in October 2021, the AWS UK Healthcare Accelerator in the UK is a four-week programme that cultivates and promotes innovative startup solutions that achieve the quadruple aim of improved patient experience, improved clinician experience, better health outcomes, and lower cost of care.

The first AWS Healthcare Accelerator in the UK cohort represents a variety of healthcare solutions backed by diverse leadership, with 50% of the cohort identifying as women-owned or minority-owned startups.

WYSA and Sapien Healthare part of the sixth cohort of the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme and Infinity Health, Dr Julian, DDM and Birdie are alumni companies of the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme.

The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator is a collaborative programme funded by two of London’s Academic Health Science Networks – UCLPartners and the Health Innovation Network – MedCity, CW+ and receives match funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
