For years, industry leaders and experts have been encouraging the NHS to adopt new technological innovations. It’s no secret that the public health sector is under immense pressure to do more with less resource. Despite several policies and laws directing NHS to use technology to its benefit, it is still seen as being “inventive but not creative.”
Matt Rigby provides an update on the London Health and Care Information Exchange, an exciting project with huge potential to transform the interoperability landscape across the capital, creating a safe, scalable way of moving patient data between the multiple health and care agencies involved in patient care, with resultant positive impacts on patients, staff burden, decision making and planning.
