Two Accelerator Alumni nominated for Leading Healthcare Awards

Two alumni from the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme, iPLATO and AccuRx, have been nominated for Leading Healthcare Awards.

The Leading Healthcare Awards 2020 will celebrate great work across the health and care sector, with the winners to be announced on 2nd April 2020. Accelerator Alumni iPLATO and AccuRx have both been nominated for Technology Solution of the Year, while AccuRx has also been nominated in the Primary Care Innovation category.

iPLATO – iPLATO’s myGP app for patients has a broad range of functions including GP appointment booking, medical record access, prescription ordering, medication reminders, health tracking tools, e-referral access and pharmacy finding services. It was the most popular medical app throughout 2019 and recently reached over 1.5 million active users.

AccuRx – AccuRx chain provides a communications solution for primary care, giving GP practices the ability to communicate with patients, collaborate as a team and coordinate care with other organisations. It has enabled 50,000 staff in 3,000 GP practices to message patients quickly and easily, saving them time, reducing calls and letters, and improving the quality of patient experience.

Sara Nelson, Programme Director at DigitalHealth.London Accelerator said; “Congratulations to iPLATO and AccuRX for being nominated at the Leading Healthcare awards. Both companies have taken big steps towards improving access to digital technology in healthcare – iPLATO is making it possible for patients to take control of their own care, while AccuRx is giving GP practice staff the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency themselves. I wish them both luck at the upcoming awards.”
