Patchwork Health Acquires L2P to Create Healthcare Workforce Leader

Dr Anas Nader, Co-Founder and CEO of Patchwork Health, a DigitalHealth.London Accelerator alumnus company, discusses his company’s acquisition of L2P Enterprise Ltd and their continued commitment to making flexible and sustainable staffing a reality.
Earlier this month, we were delighted to announce our acquisition of L2P Enterprise Ltd, the country’s foremost medical appraisal software provider and the fastest-growing job planning provider to healthcare professionals. Extending our existing network to support over 100,000 clinicians across more than 200 NHS and private healthcare organisations, this new partnership will allow us to create a market-leading healthcare platform; offering a truly end-to-end suite of tools to meet workforce needs.
Introducing Patchwork Health
Over the last eight years, we’ve been on a mission to make truly flexible and sustainable working a reality for all healthcare staff. Having both worked as doctors in the NHS, myself and my Co-Founder, Dr Jing Ouyang, know how hard it is for staff in the sector to gain access to flexible working. We also understand how frustrating it can be for managers who want to improve the way they manage their workforce to find themselves held back by outdated tech, laborious admin and a lack of data visibility.
That’s why we founded Patchwork Health, a suite of products designed to support healthcare organisations with digital rostering, flexible staff banks and agency management, as well as providing data and analytics tools to improve decision-making. We’re now partnered with over 60 NHS organisations, and our tools have supported more than 55,000 workers and saved the NHS over £120 million to date. In the past two years, we’ve helped to fill more than 12 million shift hours, with some Trusts achieving shift fill rates of 97%, significantly reducing their dependence on third-party agencies.
Integrating L2P
We’re now excited to start supporting more healthcare workers and go even further through our acquisition of L2P. We’ve been so impressed by what the team has done at L2P – building the UK’s leading appraisal system for doctors in secondary care and the fastest-growing job planning tool for medical staff, Allied Health Practitioners (AHPs) and nurses. More than 75 NHS Trusts already use L2P’s software and it’s also the market leader in the private sector, with over 55 organisations relying on their credentialing and appraisal solutions.
As soon as we met the team, we knew it was an ideal fit. Like us, they have firsthand experience of the challenges healthcare teams are facing and a passion for making lasting improvements in healthcare. They also share our customer-first culture and our relentless pursuit of building innovative solutions to support healthcare colleagues. We feel incredibly fortunate to be welcoming them into Patchwork Health for the next phase of our collective journey.
Looking ahead
In the months ahead, we’re excited to expand our support for healthcare organisations, helping them to deploy their teams more strategically and cost-effectively, whilst providing high-quality patient care that aligns with clinical service plans and budgets. Together, our complementary suite of software solutions will deliver smarter staffing across the sector; unlocking critical data, reducing silos, cutting costs, and enhancing productivity.
This acquisition sets the stage for a new phase of growth, and we’re eager to support even more clinicians and healthcare organisations in the future. We are looking to develop relationships with clinicians, managers, and healthcare organisations to continue our mission to make flexible, sustainable staffing a reality in healthcare.
