NHSX releases ‘What Good Looks like’ framework
Posted on
NHSX recently released a new framework titled ‘What Good Looks like’ (WGLL) – the document builds on key learnings from the Covid-19 pandemic and provides guidance to help leaders and organisations accelerate digital transformation across health and care services.
The framework is split into two sections: ‘What does good look like for Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)’ and ‘What does good look like for your organisation’, both of which consist of the following 7 success measures:
- Well led
- Ensure smart foundations
- Safe practice
- Support people
- Empower citizens
- Improve care
- Healthy populations
Jenny Thomas, Programme Director for DigitalHealth.London, said, “At DigitalHealth.London we’ve witnessed first-hand the dramatic transformation that has occurred across the digital health space over the course of the pandemic. Many of the companies on our Accelerator programme have played a direct role in the Covid-19 response, with some companies pivoting their products and services to meet the changing needs of the NHS. The NHS staff members on our Digital Pioneer Fellowship cohort have been making a difference by implementing new technologies on the ground in their organisations. Now it is time to reflect on all of the innovation that has happened in digital health over the last couple of years and learn from it. The What Good Looks Like programme is doing just this, through supporting NHS leaders on their digital transformation journey and providing them with a framework to move into the recovery period with a strong digital basis.”
