NHS South East London Integrated Care Board appoints financial leader as Non-Executive Director

Mike Parkinson steps into the Non-Executive Director role at South East London Integrated Care Board (ICB), bringing extensive financial leadership experience as health systems navigate growing operational and financial pressures.

NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) has announced the appointment of Mike Parkinson as a Non-Executive Director from July 2026.
A chartered accountant by background, Mike brings more than 40 years of senior finance and board level experience to the role. Mike spent much of his career at international investment bank DC Advisory, which is known for mid-market mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private capital raising and cross-border transactions.
During a 21-year career with the firm, Mike served as European Group Chief Financial Officer and Board Director, before retiring from executive roles in 2022. He subsequently served for three years as Non-Executive Chairman of DC Advisory’s European holding company.
On his appointment, Mike said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board. I am a committed supporter of the NHS and recognise many of the financial and operational challenges it faces. I am joining at a pivotal moment in the essential work of Integrated Care Boards, and I look forward to working with the Chair, Chief Executive and all my Board colleagues, and others in the wider health and care system, to deliver against our core priorities and continue to improve health and care for everyone who lives and works in south-east London.”
