Flok Health has secured $12.5 million in Series A funding to scale its AI-powered physiotherapy clinic and expand access to musculoskeletal (MSK) care. The investment, which was led by Albion VC, reflects growing confidence in digital solutions that can help tackle NHS waiting lists and improve patient access to timely care. 

Founded to address the widespread impact of MSK conditions, Flok Health is a CQC-approved, AI-operated physiotherapy clinic, capable of delivering personalised treatment pathways at population scale. The platform automates clinical decision-making for triage and treatment, providing patients with immediate, around-the-clock access to care.  

The need for such innovation is significant. Back pain alone affects one in three adults in the UK each year and MSK conditions are amongst the most significant contributors to workforce absence and lost productivity. Flok’s approach directly addresses this challenge by enabling timely access to treatment, reducing dependency on overstretched services and supporting patients to manage pain earlier and more effectively.  

Flok Health’s progress has been supported by the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator, a programme designed to support companies to scale within the NHS through enhanced connections, credibility and commercial development.  

With further funding, the company is now positioned to transform how routine MSK conditions are managed by addressing a fundamental supply-demand imbalance in healthcare, without compromising on quality or outcomes. Albion VC highlighted the scale of this opportunity as a key reason for its investment. As healthcare systems continue to seek scalable solutions, this milestone underscores the growing role of AI in delivering accessible, efficient and high-quality care.
