Biography: Teshique is an internationally trained nurse from the Caribbean, he has three years of nursing experience post-registration and his current role is to work with patients admitted to the elderly medical unit.

Horizon Fellowship project summary: Teshique’s project aims to improve how information is disseminated to site managers. Within this he aims to enable requests for medical supplies at levels of urgency to maximise time and limit incorrect distribution.

Estimated number of patients/staff impacted by the project: Teshique expects that this could ultimately impact most staff within the hospital involved in patient care. This includes HCAs,staff nurses, ward mangers and site mangers.

Goal(s) for time on the Horizon Fellowship programme: Teshique’s goal is to complete a working application that is used for its intended purpose of improving efficiency. He’d also want to better understand the processes withing the trust to identify further opportunities for improving efficiency and removing waste.
