Digital Pioneer Fellowship project: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)

The aim of the ERAS project is to deliver to the patient the best treatment especially patients undergoing minimal invasive surgery in the shorter time possible to avoid delay in discharge and be able to discharge the patient home in safe clinical conditions.


Consultant minimal invasive thoracic surgeon at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Foundation Trust. Completed my training at the University of Bologna in Italy in 2014. Joined the NHS in July 2014 and worked in different important trusts including Royal Brompton and Harefield Foundation Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. My main surgical specialities are lung cancer, thymoma/mediastinal masses, lung metastasis and Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS lobectomies and segmentectomies). Highly interested in research and currently leading and coordinating several research projects in adult and paediatric thoracic surgery. Presented and lectured in several national and international Thoracic conferences.
