Digital Midwife
Maternity Department at Croydon Health Services
Biography: Molly has worked at Croydon Health Services (CHS) for nearly two years, and was previously a digital midwife for two years at another trust in the South West London Integrated Care Board. In her role, she is a clinical specialist and consultant on IT projects, providing digital transformation to maternity services. Molly is also responsible for data, data quality and digital health records in the CHS maternity department.
South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: Building and implementing an update to CHS’s electronic patient record system, the Cerner Millennium Maternity module. This aligns with national agendas and recommendations, ultimately improving the digital system and documentation for clinicians.
Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Patients: approximately 3,000 to 3,500 yearly. Staff: approximately 300 maternity staff.
Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: Molly aims to improve her leadership skills for managing the project, learn how to track a project and its benefits over the year, as well as learn how to engage key stakeholders.
