Biography: As the Digital Transformation Manager at Achieving for Children, Matthew’s primary objective is to drive organisational change by leveraging innovation and technology. With a strong background in programme and project management, he leads in shaping the organisation’s digital priorities and ambitions. Matthew’s passion for collaboration and innovation drives him to continuously seek technology-driven solutions that enhance workforce efficiency and improve the overall experience for service users. In his role, he is dedicated to keeping Achieving for Children at the forefront of delivering innovation to children’s services. Matthew actively explores emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to leverage them for the benefit of the organisation and the communities they serve. By staying ahead of the curve, he ensures the delivery of effective and impactful digital solutions to enhance the lives of children and families. Matthew is committed to driving positive change through technology, empowering his workforce and creating better outcomes for the children and families we support.

South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: A user-friendly digital platform that will serve as the main point of contact for Achieving for Children and service users. The goal is to create a platform that connects with different tools and systems, making business processes more efficient and automated while improving the customer experience. One interesting use case of the project so far is how the platform generates PDF files for safeguarding referrals which are then entered into CMS via Robotic Process Automation. This project aims to deliver improvements in demand management, customer satisfaction, and overall back-office efficiency.

Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Patients: 3,000+. Staff: 800.

Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: Matthew hopes to engage with digital mentors, actively participate in collaborative initiatives, share ideas, and troubleshoot common issues with colleagues from various organisations. By doing so, he hopes to refine his skills while gaining a broader perspective on the challenges faced, thereby enabling the identification of effective solutions and pathways for improvement.
