Bio: With a background in Engineering, Matt has been maintaining Medical Devices across London and the South East for over 12 years, including three years specialising in surgical equipment. He has recently moved into transformation and service improvement.

Project summary: Medical Physics is currently conducting an Equipment Management Transformation project that sits within the trust’s Safe System of Equipment Management Programme. This will include developing digital solutions to reduce waste and automating non-engineering tasks to free engineer’s time and increase uptime of medical equipment.

Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: This project seeks to improve working processes for the 25 strong engineering team, affecting every staff and patient interaction with medical devices.

Goal(s) for the programme: To deliver a safer and more effective system of Equipment Management for the trust and its patients.
