Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: Guys and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust face increasing demand within the populations it serves. The Trust needs to increase the care that can be provided at home, build it’s focus on wellness and prevention, and engage patients as partners in their care.

The EHR programme will deliver a single integrated electronic health record (EHR) across Guy’s and St Thomas’ and their partners. The programme will not only deliver the EHR system but other exciting technologies such as medical device integration and speech recognition.

The programme is not just about new technology but also changing the way in which staff work and care for their patients. This programme will truly transform the way they deliver care and will be the most ambitious programme of clinical pathway transformation the trust has undertaken.

Their staff, patients, parents, carers and the public will be at the heart of this journey.

Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Around 18,000 staff and Guys and St Thomas’ patients in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.

Goal(s) for the programme: The programme objective is the implementation of an integrated electronic health record system, delivering a 21st century experience for patients and staff.

Effective engagement will ensure successful adoption and support the achievement of benefits.

Holly aims to encourage staff, patients and the public to embrace the opportunities the programme presents.
