Digital Pioneer Fellowship project: Assessing the performance of imaging machines

The project is to develop an open-source web application that allows radiography, radiology managers and imaging scientists to assess the performance of their imaging machines by providing a free image processing facility for test images.

After graduating from The University of York in 2013 with a degree in Physics and Philosophy, I joined the NHS Scientist Training Programme at King’s College Hospital to gain Clinical Scientist registration. During the programme, which included a part-time MSc in Medical Physics, I spent time working at a VC-funded Silicon Valley medical imaging startup. Most recently, alongside my job as an MR Physicist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, I have started a part-time PhD in Neuroimaging at King’s College London, applying artificial intelligence to brain tumour diagnosis.
