Biography: In his current role, Daniel is responsible for overseeing various aspects of Public Health, including 0-19 services, sexual health services, substance misuse programs, Health Checks, Sports development, GP and Pharmacy services, Community Development, Diet and Nutrition, and smoking cessation. Of particular relevance to this fellowship is his role in behaviour change, digital Public Health, digital marketing, and Connected Kingston, which is a social prescribing platform that covers the entire borough.
South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: Connected Kingston is a borough-wide project that promotes social prescribing. It includes a website with over 400 activities and services, as well as a training program and champions. The goal is to reduce social isolation, increase social connections, and improve access to community activities and services. The website is a primary digital focus, with millions of marketing impressions and over 120,000 visits from an estimated 30,000+ people in recent years.
Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Residents: 30,000 to 40,000. Staff: In the hundreds.
Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: Daniel aims to connect with others working in the digital space and improve the local navigation of information for residents. He is also keen to promote social and community growth activities, reduce social isolation, improve health and move as a system to a practice of community wealth building.
