Biography: Charlotte’s role is to provide support and leadership to the bariatric and diabetes dietitians at Chelsea & Wesminster and West Middlesex hospitals. Charlotte is also involved in the dietary management of patients pre and post bariatric surgery.

Horizon Fellowship project summary: Charlotte’s project involves developing a bariatric resource app that consolidates all the necessary dietary, psychological, medical, and surgical information in one place. The app will provide patients with access to diet sheets, videos, and info graphics that offers a  comprehensive resource for all of their needs.

Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: 100-300 patients, but this could rise as the bariatric resource app would be open to those who have been discharged, as well as those already in the pathway.

Goal(s) for time on the Horizon Fellowship programme: Charlotte’s goal is to  complete the first app design within 12 months.
