Biography: Angela is a Service Manager in the Direct Provision department of Adult Social Care. She reports directly to the Head of Service and is responsible for overseeing three 24-hour services which include Mascot Telecare, the Supported Living Service, and the Glebelands Extra Care site. In total, there are 74 staff members working across these services. As the CQC Registered Manager for the Supported Living Service, Angela is responsible for managing the budgets, ensuring safe service provision, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. She is also responsible for leading the strategic development of the services and working in partnership with other agencies and services. Angela’s main goal is to promote independence opportunities for all of the client groups they work with and believes that technology plays an essential role in her work.

South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: This project will take place in two parts. The first part involves the Digital Switchover, which is set to take place by the end of 2025. This switch from analogue to digital technology will bring about many positive developments but also poses challenges for telecare providers, including identifying when customers have made the switch and the possibility of devices malfunctioning during power outages. The second part involves procuring a new Telecare Platform. The project’s main aim is to have an adaptive system that will meet the organisation’s future needs.

Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: Angela aims to develop her skills in managing and developing projects. She views the Fellowship as a chance to expand her network, as well as exchange ideas and experiences, particularly among a broader range of specialities.
