Biography: In his role, Andy manages a team of 40 staff that provides services for the 4500 users across four sites. As part of his portfolio, he manages the IT service desk, desktop support, and the Infrastructure team, which includes overseeing their responsibilities, functions, and team members. This involves governance, coordination, and communication across all service areas, including change, incident and problem management, continual service improvement, and SLA management. Andy’s key role is to ensure the highest level of operational service and customer satisfaction.

South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: As with all Trusts, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is dependent on effective telephony and unified communications services. In the spirit of embracing new working practices based upon mobility and flexible working, a project has been started to renew existing communications infrastructure and services to address associated risks and facilitate significant functionality improvements to enable the roll-out of new working and service delivery practices.

Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Patients: 600. Staff: 4500.

Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: Andy aims to understand and exchange ideas on working with people from varying professional backgrounds. He also intends to improve and advocate for digital transformation in organisations for the benefit of all involved.
