The NHS can be a challenging environment to navigate. While there is an increase in growth for new tech aiming to reshape care, there’s also a market of companies leaving the UK due to the NHS being challenging to navigate. Digitally Empowered Experience
Patient experiences of maternity care have declined in recent years, according to the results of a Maternity Survey conducted by the CQC and the NHS Patient Survey Programme, which involved 121 NHS trusts in England. This session explores how digital tools and patient feedback can improve early risk identification, health literacy, and service design in maternity care, while addressing digital exclusion and guiding safe adoption of tech-enabled models. The discussion will also address challenges around implementation, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, while looking ahead to what the next 12–18 months may hold for AI agents in health and care.
