Summa Equity has invested in Dignio, a Norwegian health technology company that specalises in remote healthcare solutions for patients to use at home. Made through Summa Equity Fund III, the investment aligns with the fund’s ‘tech‑enabled resilience’ theme and reflects its strategy of supporting high‑growth businesses addressing pathway challenges in healthcare systems across Europe and North America.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Oslo, Dignio has developed an integrated digital platform for home‑based care, with features include remote patient monitoring, telehealth functionality and automated medication dispensing. The technology enables healthcare providers to monitor patients more effectively outside of traditional clinical settings, whilst enabling patients to manage long term conditions with greater independence.

Following Summa Equity’s investment, Dignio plans to accelerate international expansion. The investment will support product development and market growth, responding to increasing demand for scalable home‑based care models as health systems face rising costs, ageing populations and ongoing workforce pressures.

More broadly, investment in remote care and other digital monitoring technologies reflects a growing effort to respond to systemic pressures facing health systems, including the NHS. These technologies align closely with policy priorities, such as the shift from hospital to community to enable earlier intervention, support safer discharge and help ease pressure on acute services. Increased backing for these scalable, data‑driven care models signals a shift towards more preventative and patient‑centred care, globally.

The investment in Dignio highlights how remote monitoring has the potential to build a more sustainable and resilient health system.
