Delivering AI for the NHS webinar series launched

This autumn, the AI Centre, DigitalHealth.London and the Health Innovation Network are teaming up to deliver a series of webinars on implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in the NHS. Expert panels will be discussing key questions around machine learning and AI, covering themes from governance and data protection policy to the challenges of harmonising data and building an ecosystem of AI innovation. Case studies featuring NHS and industry partners will illustrate how the AI Centre’s platforms have helped achieve vital transformation to ultimately support NHS staff and patients.

Reza Razavi, AI Centre Director, said “At the AI centre, we are bringing together a cross-section of the global healthcare ecosystem to discover, develop, and deliver a new model of AI enabled care. We are developing technology that allows us to access large volumes of well-curated clinical data in a controlled environment, with the appropriate technical architecture, governance, and clinical expertise. I am pleased to announce the launch of this webinar series in partnership with DigitalHealth.London and the Health Innovation Network, to share our experiences of implementing AI in NHS organisations and to hear from experts who are using AI to achieve the best results for NHS staff and patients.”

Anna King, Commercial Director at Health Innovation Network and DigitalHealth.London board member, said “DigitalHealth.London’s Driving Digital report identified AI as a key opportunity for the next five years with a focus on the using the technology to combat challenges of healthcare delivery and improve outcomes. As an Academic Health Science Network, HIN is keen to support the development and deployment of evidence-based AI innovations in the NHS. The work of the AI Centre is helping NHS organisations to use AI and machine learning to create positive change for patients and staff. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the AI Centre to deliver three exciting webinars sharing real world AI implementation case studies and hearing from experts in the field. Don’t miss out on what promises to be an enlightening series.”

The AI Centre is a collaboration led by King’s College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust alongside 10 NHS Trusts, four Universities, and leading industry partners. The Centre is developing two platforms, AIDE and FLIP, which will provide access to high-quality electronic health data for the purpose of development and deployment of AI Technology. They will enable NHS trusts to test and deploy AI in clinical practice and share data in a way that is safe and secure.
