SME of the Week: July Roundup

Every week, we put a spotlight on one of the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator or Launchpad companies. Here’s a roundup of this month’s featured SMEs:

About: SkinVision is a CE Marked Smartphone application for early detection of the most common forms of skin cancer. We are on a mission to save over 250,000 lives from skin cancer in the next decade. Skinvision is used by 1.3M people globally and the Algorithm is based on 3.5M images. Latest studies show 95% specificity and 78% sensitivity.

Recent success: We’ve launched a PDF report feature enabling our users to share their risk assessments with their healthcare professionals including additional views and information.

We are working with NHS Dermatologists to define workflow for a new use case where we share images and symptoms to aid early detection and treatment as part of the COVID-19 recovery programme. This brings the best of human expertise and AI together.

In June we launched a partnership with a UK health insurer, Medicash, to give free access to 220,000 UK policyholders to further promote early detection as part of their digital health benefits programme.

Ask: Introduction to expert senior dermatologists and cancer leads to gain further insight on how best to help NHS.

About: Transforming events into life changing experiences for people in need. We help events to automate the distribution of spare tickets through a network of charity partners. Improving mental health through events access.

Recent success: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been working on a project to give our NHS and social care staff access to free tickets to say thank you for all their hard work and sacrifice during this period.

As part of the DigitalHealth.London Launchpad, we are now piloting our program for NHS social prescribing to support GP’s and Community Link Workers to access donated tickets for their patients.

Ask: We are currently looking for GP surgeries and Community Link Workers to connect with for feedback on the model and for the next round of pilot cohort.
