Biography:I am a Senior Programme Manager at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout my career, I have taken on roles such as Project Manager, Charge Nurse, Anaesthetic Nurse, and Theatre Coordinator, allowing me to merge my clinical expertise with strong operational management skills. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Leadership from Kingston University and a Bachelor’s in Nursing Science from Università di Roma Tor Vergata. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, I excel in diverse, multicultural environments. Passionate about healthcare innovation, I have led projects like the implementation of digital consent and digital POA across the Southwest London region. My ability to combine clinical knowledge with operational management enables me to deliver impactful solutions that enhance both patient care and system efficiency.
South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: We are implementing an early screening and optimisation system for patients at their first point of contact with our hospital. This involves sending patients a digital questionnaire to identify their health needs early on, allowing for timely interventions. The project aims to:
- Improve short- and long-term health outcomes and quality of life.
- Reduce the rate of on-the-day or short-notice cancellations for avoidable clinical reasons.
- Decrease perioperative morbidity and mortality.
- Shorten hospital stays, unplanned critical care admissions, and readmissions.
- Increase the proportion of patients suitable for day case surgery, avoiding inpatient stays.
Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Over 10,000 patients in Kingston Hospital, but the number will grow exponentially if the solution is adopted across the ICB/Organisation.
Goal(s) for time on the South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship: My main goal on the Digital Pioneer Fellowship Programme is to provide me with essential skills, valuable networking opportunities, and improve my ability to successfully lead digital transformation projects, which will benefit both my organisation and the healthcare system in South-West London.
