Biography: Noni’s role is to support nurses, midwifes and other clinicians with completing quality Improvement and innovation projects at all levels of the trust.

Horizon Fellowship project summary: Noni’s project is to continue evaluating digital solutions to enhance communication about the Shared Decision Making (SDM) and Shared Governance Concept. This will involve identifying an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform as part of managing the SDM councils.

Estimated number of patients/staff impacted by the project: Although it is difficult to quantify, initially the project will impact up to 500 staff. The aim would be to upscale the concept so that all staff groups are familiar with it.

Goal(s) for time on the Horizon Fellowship programme: Taking part in the fellowship will be support Noni’s personal development through involvement in the learning days. Noni hopes to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of digital innovation within the healthcare sector, which she can apply practically for this project as well as others that she is involved in.
