Biography: Morna is the lead Heart Failure Clinical Nurse Specialist Manager for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She manages the heart failure nursing service across both sites, providing leadership and support to the nursing team. Morna also offers heart failure management, education, and advice to patients and other healthcare professionals.

In her present role, Morna has developed service improvements for the heart failure service, including Virtual Wards and Early supportive discharge for Heart Failure patients across both sites. She wants to explore further use of digital technology in the healthcare setting.

Horizon Fellowship project summary: Heart failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) @ Home is a nurse-led project to provide tailored care for patients living with HFpEF through the establishment of a dedicated remote monitoring hub. The aim of this work is to improve HFpEF patients’ experience of care, to reduce variability in the quality of care received and to provide improved education and support enabling patients to manage their condition more effectively and confidently at home.
