Learnify Health
NHS Problem
NHS education currently relies heavily on time-boxed, in-person learning, which limits access and engagement. Senior clinicians often lack time to deliver feedback, leaving trainees without consistent guidance. Despite the UK having Europe’s largest simulation infrastructure and spending over £4 billion annually on medical education, clinicians still report training as inaccessible and difficult to schedule. This results in:
- Uneven competency development
- Missed learning opportunities
- Inefficiencies in workforce training.
Learnify Health addresses these challenges by providing accessible, data-driven, and flexible clinical simulations that deliver equitable, high-quality learning experiences anytime, anywhere.
Founder Story
Learnify Health was founded by a team with deep experience in AI and healthcare, having previously led projects at Shyld AI, collaborated on patient safety pilots and designed educational simulations for junior doctors and IMGs. The founders have worked closely with patient safety teams, recognising that improving safety is not just about more knowledge, but about exposure to realistic scenarios and supported decision-making. With prior EPSRC, Innovate UK and clinical entrepreneurship grants focused on human-in-the-loop AI, they understand the psychology of learning and the potential of AI to empower clinicians, enhance judgement, and make healthcare training more effective and equitable.
The Solution
Learnify Health is an AI-powered clinical simulation platform that transforms healthcare education. It offers adaptive, on-demand training experiences, enabling clinicians and trainees to practise critical decision-making safely and receive instant feedback.
The platform integrates with existing NHS learning systems and provides data insights to education teams, helping identify skill gaps and measure learning outcomes. Cost-effective, scalable, and easy to deploy, Learnify Health empowers NHS organisations to deliver consistent, high-quality education while reducing reliance on physical simulation centres and senior time. Accessible anytime, anywhere, it makes continuous professional development more efficient and equitable.
Impact
- Increasing accessibility of high-quality training to all clinicians, regardless of rota or geography.
- Enhancing learning engagement and knowledge retention through adaptive AI feedback.
