Vaccination is a major pillar of preventative health, but vaccination rates are at a 30-year low in the UK. Reminders to vaccinate play an important role in uptake, but calculating individual eligibility/vaccination status can be difficult, and many people don’t receive reminders or understand their vaccination status, despite significant administrative effort by healthcare teams.
Founder Story
Co-Founders Emma Holcroft & Dr Lucy Lord MBE founded Imunis, bringing together patient and healthcare perspectives. With a technology consulting background and direct experience of the challenges associated with keeping herself and family up-to-date with vaccination, Emma approached Lucy, whose clinical team was keen to address the challenges of vaccination record keeping & continuity of care in the face of frequently-changing vaccination recommendations.
The Solution
Imunis makes it easy for a patient to create a lifelong, digital vaccination record, covering private and NHS care, from which their vaccination status can be auto-calculated. They receive automated reminders once they are eligible for a new vaccine or dose. Clinicians benefit from a standardised data model which reduces recording errors, & significantly simplifies recall & reminder communication.
