Biography: Amjad Taha has over 20 years of experience in healthcare management, specialising in enabling and supporting transformation programmes within the NHS and abroad. Currently, as Portfolio Manager at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, he focuses on supporting the digital improvement programme. Previously, as Interim Head of Operations at the Royal College of Physicians, Amjad led the Accreditation Unit towards greater efficiency and strategic impact. At Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, he developed key clinical strategies for mental health services, collaborating with senior clinicians and executives. Amjad’s international experience includes leading significant improvement programmes at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, where he also mentored emerging leaders. With his experience and qualification in programme management, Amjad is dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence in healthcare, empowering staff and patients to achieve the best outcomes.
South West London ICL Digital Pioneer Fellowship project summary: The digital improvement programme focuses on unifying IM&T structures, including clinical applications, infrastructure, and data governance. A single Digital Board ensures streamlined governance across Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts and Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare. The programme prioritises digital team development, customer service, and fostering a digital culture. It addresses recruitment and retention through clear career paths, enhancing staff morale and reducing turnover. Key initiatives include improving digital maturity, compliance with the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), strengthening infrastructure and cybersecurity, and integrating data warehouses to support better decision-making aligned with the South West London (SWL) Data Strategy.

The fellowship will provide valuable skills in Agile methodologies and change management, helping me address challenges and drive impactful transformation.
