Empowering Patients to Self-Manage – Event and SME Pitches

We partnered with the Health Innovation Network to deliver the latest Innovation Exchange webinar, Empowering Patients to Self-Manage. Watch back to the event presentations and pitches from 10 SMEs selected to pitch their products and services at the event.

This interactive event was recorded live with 120 participants. Discussions took place between commissioners, providers and innovators on digital products and services that can help empower patients to take control and better manage their long term conditions, mental health and well-being.

Our guest speakers included; James Woollard, National Clinical Advisor for Digital Mental Health, NHS England and Improvement, Chief Clinical Information Officer and Consultant Psychiatrist, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust; Chris Gumble, Diabetes Project Manager, South West London Health and Care Partnership and Shaun Azam, Director at DigitalHealth.London Accelerator supported company, Sweatcoin discussing their partnership in the Diabetes Decathlon project, and Dr. Charlotte Lee, Director, Big Health U.K.

Each guest described the challenges and rewards of rolling out digital self-management solutions and gave examples of how they are helping to address financial pressures and safely improve care for patients.

They were each given a 3 minute opportunity to pitch their solutions including self-management platforms for respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal health and physical activity, diabetes, weight control, heart disease, and other long term conditions.
