Jai currently leads the Digital Subteam within the Children and Young People’s Team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service, set up in February 2020.
Project summary: Jai began work in establishing a Digital Subteam for clinicians working with Children and Young People (CYP) affected by trauma in February 2020. The CYP Digital Subteam focused on wider staff engagement in digital approaches and a number of smaller scale projects were completed to increase the digital literacy of the team. This occurred during a period in which the service worked remotely, providing an online therapy offer to its service users.
This project aims to develop this work by taking a systemic approach to service development and involving service users in the review of the online offer as well as in the future development of the team’s digital offer. With the support of Young Digital Ambassadors a proposed App Testing Hub aims to identify which resources children and young people find supportive alongside their clinical sessions. The project aims to engage young people in the design of a new digital care pathway to evaluate the acceptability and efficacy of adjunct therapy tools and also to develop an effective evaluation method for the team’s digital offers.
Estimated number of patients / staff impacted by the project: Team-wide over next 12 months.
Goal(s) for the programme: To set up an App Testing Hub as part of an ongoing review process which allows children and young people to share their views on the acceptability and effectiveness of adjunct therapy tools.
To work alongside children and young people that use the service to develop a Digital Care Pathway.
