We’re looking for companies across a wide spectrum including;
- Telehealth and care – covering activity/fall monitoring, remote medication management, long term condition monitoring and video consultation
- mHealth – covering wearables or apps for medical or wellness and fitness
- Health Analytics – covering genomics, precision medicine or data analytics such as imaging, health data, health status, population health, re-admission rates, bed occupancy or procurement data
- Digitised health systems – covering patient or provider held digital records or devices and diagnostics

Who is eligible to apply?
- Early stage companies looking for seed funding (circa £200K – £300K typically).
- Committed teams. Single founders considered. Companies with non-healthcare specific teams considered.
- Broad therapeutic & technology focus (although companies with offers centered around Robotics should contact us before applying)
- Companies with a proposition centered around software with an application in public or private healthcare
- Device and Diagnostics based companies will be considered
- Established company status preferable
- Pre-revenue or revenue generating
- No geographical limits (however applicants must agree to work in UK, and a member of the team must be willing to be based in the UK)
What is the nature of the funding being offered through RYSE?
Equity funding is being offered. RYSE will be looking for minority equity stakes in the businesses it invests in, whilst ensuring the founder(s) are still heavily incentivised to build the business. RYSE is prepared to review this on a case by case basis.
Would RYSE consider being part of a syndicate?
Yes potentially, depending on who the other investors were we could invest as part of a syndicate. RYSE is prepared to review this on a case by case basis.
What is the application process?
Interested companies must apply by completing the online application form, with an accompanying 90 second pitch video. (Smartphone quality is fine).
Applications will be reviewed, evaluated and scored by a panel of experts spanning a variety of disciplines including Commercial; Clinical; Operational; Financial.
A shortlist of a minimum of 8 successful applicants will be invited to interview with the RYSE Asset Management team in February 2018.
Applicants should note that the interviews will take place during the week 19 February – 23 February.
Does my company need to be based in London?
We will accept applications from companies based in or outside of London. We will also be delighted to receive applications from companies based outside of the UK. However in this situation, the applicant must agree to work in UK, and a member of the team must be willing to be based in the UK.
How can RYSE help SMEs to perform large scale adoption across the NHS?
With the assistance of its collaboration with DigitalHealth.London it will be able to support teams to achieve large scale adoption across the NHS
