CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER, EAST LONDON CCG
As Chief Information Officer (CIO) Luke Readman is responsible for the strategic direction of informatics and in particular joint work across the health and care system to continue the development of a single shared electronic health record across all partners, and driving the development of the population health function to deliver real time health insight.
Luke is passionate about informatics as a tool to drive up clinical quality of care and support professional practice, using relevant, timely, accurate clinical data to systematically improve patient outcomes and the health of the population of East London.
Previously, he held roles as Chief Information Officer at Barts Health NHS Trust, Director of Informatics at the Wirral University NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust in the North West and Acting Executive Director of Planning at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
A Radiographer by background with an MSc in Management, Luke brings combined clinical, managerial and executive experience. Luke has been working in the NHS since 1977.
