Sheena brings significant provider experience and a focus on building a culture of continuous improvement.
In her role as Quality Improvement Lead at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Sheena supported teams with a portfolio of improvement projects and holds a special interest in patient co‐designed healthcare solutions, healthcare innovation and technology. With an interest in population health, Sheena qualified as a Dietitian and has 14 years of experience working across a number of acute provider Trusts. She joined the University College London Hospital NHS Trust in 2010 as a Clinical Lead at UCLH for Cardiothoracics, Diabetes and Gastroenterology dietetic services. She has embedded improvements in enhanced recovery surgical pathways, productive outpatients and telemedicine.
In 2013 she was awarded an NIHR Fellowship in Translational Research and went on the complete a Masters in Clinical Research at King’s College London and sits on the Committee for the British Association for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (BAPEN) London regional group since 2005.
Sheena is a lead organiser and curator for TEDxNHS 2017 and an associate editor for Future Hospital Journal (RCP). Outside of work, Sheena can often be found in her role as a STEMnet Ambassador, working with students of all disciplines, and travelling the world.
